Job summary.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Trust to appoint a Deputy Director of Finance - Technical and Development. The Deputy Director of Finance is a key leadership role in the finance function, supporting the delivery of the Trust's strategic goals, with a particular focus on technical accounting, investments and governance.

Main duties of the job.

  • Support the Director of Finance in providing Board-level and external advice, developing strategies and plans to ensure the Trust's continued viability.

  • Ensuring the rigorous scrutiny of strategic capital and revenue business cases, and support successful delivery of these cases.

  • Responsibility for the preparation and delivery of the audited annual accounts.

  • Responsibility for the coordination, management and reporting of financial services, including treasury management function, and capital.

  • Ensuring an effective system of financial governance and oversight of financial decision making.
