The Divisional Director of Finance will have responsibility for leading the division on day to day and strategic decision making. The post holder will work closely with the Divisional leadership team (triumvirate) and lead the finance team to deliver on all objectives. Reporting into the Deputy CFO with dotted line reporting to the Divisional Director of Operations, the successful post holder will possess excellent business partnering skills and have the ability to shift between working at the strategic level and diving deeper to diagnose the drivers of financial deficit where necessary.

You will be a qualified accountant with significant experience of business partnering in a complex organisation. You will have excellent financial modelling skills, sound financial judgement, be comfortable at quickly developing and implementing solutions to highly complex problems, and experience in persuading and influencing key stakeholders. We are looking for a leader who is proactive and innovative in managing change and who has high personal and professional standards.
The purpose of the role is to provide strategic and operational business partnering for the clinical division.
The role will provide expert accounting and business knowledge, strategic financial and business planning expertise, analytical support and clear presentation of financial and business information to clinical and non-clinical colleagues to drive sound financial decision-making. The post holder will also constructively and positively challenge all aspects of divisional financial and business performance.
The post holder will be accountable to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer for their team's adherence to Trust financial policies and procedures, statutory requirements and requirements from Department of Health and Social Care and NHS England.
There will be an expectation for the post holder to cover for the Deputy CFO on a rotational basis as required.
The post holder will be additionally responsible for roles and/or programmes outside the divisional budgets and will play an active role in reporting on both financial and non-financial performance for the division.
The post holder will be a dynamic and pro-active individual who is confident in challenging senior stakeholders and can communicate at sub-Board level.
