Consultant Spotlight – Seven Questions with Jenny Bui

From time to time we like to put the spotlight on one of our star consultants, to ask them their view of what it's really like to work at i&e Professionals. In this edition, we sit down with Jenny Bui to get her thoughts and comments on working life within our agency.

How did you get started in the industry?

I knew I was passionate about being able to help others and I wanted to utilise my attributes in sales and languages. It's through this that I found recruitment matched both my skills and ambitions very well. 

What do you most enjoy about working with i&e Professionals?

The people mainly. Having a strong team around me that I can trust is a really enjoyable and reassuring part of my role. Also, I really like being a specialist in a niche market. I find it really satisfying to develop a deep expertise in one specific area.

How would you describe our company culture?

i&e Professionals are incredibly strong at employee recognition. If I do a good job I know it will be recognised and rewarded. There is also a really strong ethos of teamwork that helps foster a supportive and collaborative environment.

What is one thing that you wished people knew about your job?

There is no limit to education and knowledge development. We make a point of sharing insights from within our sector in an effort to positively impact the industry that we work in. We strongly believe in spreading more awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion, an area that particularly interests me. We genuinely want to see our clients and candidates succeed. We want to have a positive impact.

What are your goals for the next few months/years?

Continue my growth and knowledge to become the best version of myself. My personal goal is to become a director. That is what I am striving for day after day.

What is the most interesting project you've worked on here?

I've taken part in a few industry events and exhibitions. In particular, the HFMA Eastern Superstars and Rockstars Conference where I co-created a workshop with delegates on 'How to build your CV'. This was something I loved doing as I could see what a positive impact we were having on our candidates career progression.

How has your role evolved over time since you've been here?

Since joining in June 2023, I personally feel that I have grown quickly. Within a very short period I've been given the tools to really utilise all my strengths which has led to both personal development, as well as continued success in my day to day role.
